Policies

Snow policy

  • Our clubs follow the public school system procedure. If Albuquerque Public Schools are closed or delayed, then our Albuquerque club is closed or delayed. If Rio Rancho Public Schools are closed or delayed, then our Rio Rancho club is closed or delayed.

Early Release policy

  • If the public school system has an unscheduled early release, parents are responsible for picking up their children from school and the clubs will be closed.
  • If the public school system has a scheduled early release, such as APS early release Wednesdays, the clubs will provide pickup for the children that are provided transportation.

Lockdown Policy

  • If the Rio Rancho Public School system is locked down and subsequently released prior to 6 p.m., the club will provide pickup for the children that are provided transportation. If RRPS lockdown is not released until after 6 p.m., then parents are responsible for the pickup of their children from school.

About

Since 1952, Boys & Girls Clubs of Central New Mexico (BGCCNM) has provided at-risk children, between the ages of 5 and 18, with a safe place to learn and grow. Currently the Club serves over 2,500 children in its Albuquerque and Rio Rancho Clubs, providing them with state-of-the-art programing administered by highly trained staff. Club members learn leadership skills, explore career opportunities, and become healthy individuals who are ready to tackle tomorrow’s challenges.
